The new model of the Universe explain dark energy Source:

Researchers from Uppsala University in Sweden have proposed a new model of the Universe, capable, in their opinion, to solve the mystery of dark energy, which according to many theoretical physicists, responsible for the expansion of space. New article scientists published in the journal Physical Review Letters, describes a new structural concept and the role of dark energy in our Universe, which, according to the researchers, moving on the edge of the expanding bubble. Press release published on the website EurekAlert!

Since the late 90-ies scientists know that the rate of expansion of the Universe is constantly increasing. The reason that scientists call "dark energy", which is evenly distributed everywhere, and pushes the particles to the mother from each other. An understanding of the nature of this dark energy — one of the most important mysteries of fundamental physics.

Researchers have long believe that the answer to this riddle will tell the string theory. According to it, all matter consists of tiny vibrating strelovidnym objects. In addition, this theory argues that spatial dimensions more than three. Over the past 15 years scientists have proposed several models by which it would be possible to explain the origin of dark energy. However, they all faced strong criticism and was eventually recognized as non-working.

The Swedish scientists published article describes a new model of dark energy and our Universe. So, under the new model, our universe is moving at the edge of the growing bubble in an extra dimension. According to this model, all existing matter is on the ends of the strings, extending in another dimension. Scientists say that their model is consistent with the string theory proves that these bubbles — and hence Universes may be more than one.

In a press release, EurekAlert! stated that the proposed researchers from Uppsala University model offers a new perspective on the nature of the appearance and fate of the Universe, but can also be a way to prove or disprove the very theory of strings.
