The Russian, who is accused of hacking into LinkedIn, Dropbox and Formspring, as well as in compromised personal data of more than 100 million users, has been extradited to the United States after a 15-month detention in Prague, The New York Times reported. Evgeny Nikulin, 30 years old, was arrested in October 2016, while on vacation in the Czech Republic, agents of Interpol.

Nikulin filed three counts of computer hacking, two — to damage a protected computer, two — substantial identity theft, one — in trade people and one — conspiracy to commit. He faces more than 30 years in prison.

The Russian Embassy in Prague called for the release of Nikulin during his arrest. His lawyer said the charges are politically motivated. The arrest took place a few days before President Barack Obama formally accused the Russian government of hacking into the server of the Democratic national Committee. Stolen letters later came into the hands of WikiLeaks.

In addition to the hacking of LinkedIn, Dropbox and Formspring, Nikulin, who allegedly used the names Chinabig01 and Dex.007, among other things, accused of damage to the computers of employees of LinkedIn and Formspring, as well as the theft and use of their credential.
